Remediation
Remediation involves individualized lesson plans customized to meet each child’s requirements combined with one-to-one tutoring. It consists of exercises in reading, spelling rules using structured phonic methods, sentence and paragraph writing strategies, activities to enhance thinking and reasoning skills, comprehension, math (using gwm approach) and IE program.
Unlike regular tuition classes the emphasis here is to enhance study skills, language arts, memorizing strategies, attention span and overall personality.
diksa offers the following.
- One-to-one tutoring or remediation given after school hours twice or thrice a week.
- The pull-out program where children are taken out of school for a minimum of two years and intensive remediation is given to bridge the gap in their academic performance.
- NIOS- The NIOS subjects (English, Home science & social studies) are taught individually, using remedial strategies.
