Grow With Math-Testimonials from Parents

My son  in general takes more time to understand any concepts and coming to Maths had always been a night mare..After working with him for years together I realised that he didn’t get the core concept of maths..He used to do addition with typically “..in the mind..in the finger” without realising what he is doing and why he is doing..

I as a parent literally got stuck how to move next..if not for academics maths is everything in life..

That’s when I got to know about Diksa as Blessing In disguise…I saw their video of teaching even and odd and wanted to try without thinking twice..

It really opened the doors for us..we have not completely overcome things yet..but in the last 1 year I could see dramatic improvement in the way he understood numbers and his anxiety in approaching real life situations..

I was amazed when he visualized 5 as 3 and 2, 8 as 5 and 2 and 3 and so on..I was even astonished when we do simple shopping he is able to say now subtraction concept to be applied and he is able to add / subtract numbers in tens without even using fingers..and much more in the way he attempts to do math exams..his confidence in speaking about numbers..

I’m now hopeful that I as parent could help my son to overcome his challenge in understanding Math in a better way..Looking forward to keep improving!!

To DIKSA team,

I wish to share my experience and happy moments I had with my son after he was enrolled into GWM program with you all. As everyone I was also worried about enrolling my child in an online class especially a math class. Since we were asked to accompany the child during the sessions, I understood at what level he is in. Also teachers guided us to help the child see how Math is a part of ourroutine. To name a few, ‘How can we compare two things around us’, ‘Where do we use numbers in our daily life’ etc., Number talk that DIKSA teachers do in every class really made my son to look for real life math stories to share with his teacher. And believe me sometimes he comes up with stories that I haven’t even thought about.

We had many amazing moments talking about numbers like , ‘Five more days for Deepavali’, ‘Countdown popping on the TV corner for his favourite show’, ‘168 kms more to reach our native’, ‘The expiry date on our ready made paratta packets’ and many more.

He is enjoying doing addition in an abstract way and his confidence has increased tremendously. Recently he came up with an idea himself to subtract in groups which was yet another joyful moment for us.

I know there is a long road ahead but we as a family are very happy to have joined hands with DIKSA to walk with him in this journey.

Thanks to all the wonderful hearts in DIKSA for all the love and support you shower on our child.

Regards

Brindha (Mother of A.Pradyumna)
